Your Privacy & Consent
VISNEST ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Visnest Private Limited, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the VISNEST platform, website, and related services. By accessing or using VISNEST, you consent to the practices described here and, where applicable, to our Data & AI Consent.
Information We Collect
We collect: (a) Account information — your name, email address, phone number, role, and password; (b) Business and startup information — your idea, problem, solution, target audience, services, industry, stage, funding status, team, traction, and any documents or content you submit; (c) Payment information — processed securely by our payment partner (we do not store full card details); (d) Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, and interaction logs; and (e) Communications — messages, support requests, and feedback you send us.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and provide the platform; generate AI-assisted pitch decks, recommendations, and venture guidance; create and manage your directory listing; process payments and credits; deliver mentorship, networking, training, and ecosystem support; analyse usage to improve our services and AI systems; protect against fraud and abuse; communicate service updates and—where you opt in—marketing; and comply with our legal obligations.
AI Processing & Consent
Certain features are powered by artificial intelligence and may be combined with human review. When you create an account you accept our Data & AI Consent (see /consent), which governs how your business and operational data is processed for guidance, analytics, and AI-assisted recommendations. We use only anonymized and de-identified data to improve our AI, benchmarking, and venture-readiness systems, and we do not use raw personal identifiers, government IDs, passwords, confidential agreements, or sensitive financial records for AI model training without your additional explicit authorization. We do not make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects without human review.
Cookies & Log Files
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the platform, and analyse usage. Our servers also automatically record standard log data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not function without them.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: (a) trusted service providers who help us operate the platform — including payment processing (Cashfree), authentication and phone verification (Firebase), cloud hosting and infrastructure, analytics, and AI providers — under appropriate confidentiality obligations; (b) investors, partners, or the public directory, only as you direct or with your consent; (c) authorities or third parties where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect rights and safety; and (d) a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
Third-Party Services & Embeds
The platform may link to, or embed content from, third-party services (for example, LinkedIn post embeds in our Stories feed and our payment gateway). Your use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies and terms, and we are not responsible for their practices.
Data Security
We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards — including encryption in transit, restricted access controls, and operational security measures — to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion as described below, subject to retention required by law.
Your Rights & Choices
You may access, correct, update, or delete your personal information through your account settings or by contacting us. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have rights to data portability, to restrict or object to certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of marketing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Eligibility
VISNEST is intended for users who are 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the platform or by email, and the "Last updated" date will be revised. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
